As an elementary dyslexia teacher, I am always looking for engaging tools that motivate my Spanish-speaking students to practice reading skills, and the Leer Ninja Reading Game has been a wonderful resource. It’s not just one child playing while the others wait around; everyone is paying attention and learning from the new cards being drawn. We played with a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old, and both were surprisingly focused and involved the entire time. The 2-year-old loved the visuals and was eager to repeat what they heard, while the 5-year-old was proud to show off their reading skills. It’s rare to find something that works for that age gap, but this game nailed it.
Time flew by while we played. What was supposed to be a short session turned into a much longer one because everyone was having fun—and learning the whole way through.
